Adventures in Zambezia

Adventures in Zambezia is an animated adventure feature that follows Kai, a young and high-spirited falcon who longs to break free from his overprotective father and find his place in the world. Drawn by stories of Zambezia, a bustling bird city built on the edge of Victoria Falls, Kai leaves home determined to join the elite Hurricane defense patrol and experience true community.

In Zambezia, Kai discovers a vibrant, diverse society of birds working together in harmony. But danger looms when the villainous marabou stork Marabou Boss teams up with Budzo, a ruthless monitor lizard plotting to destroy the city. When Kai’s father is captured, Kai must confront his past, embrace teamwork, and rise to the challenge of defending Zambezia.

The film celebrates themes of belonging, courage, community, and growing into one’s own identity, all set against a colourful African backdrop.
